Hello there,

I'm Julie, and this big dog is Bo. We call beautiful South Florida home. Years ago, I got into bookkeeping and medical billing, and what started as a career became a lifelong passion for keeping things organized, making sense of the numbers, and helping others.

I earned my bookkeeping certificate in 1988 and worked my way up from the ground floor, starting in medical billing for radiologists at a local hospital. Over the years, I gained experience with billing services and orthopedic practices before becoming the administrator for a primary care physician and nurse practitioner. For 24 years, I handled nearly every aspect of running that practice—including full-service medical billing—until the physician retired.

Along the way, I also managed the bookkeeping for my father's per diem home health business and my husband's trucking business. Those experiences showed me firsthand how much accurate, organized financial records matter to small business owners.

While I continue to work in medical billing; I am happy to say that Big Dog Bookkeeping is here for you. My goal is to help small business owners feel more confident about their finances, and giving them a clearer picture of their business. I'm excited to put my years of hands-on experience to work for you.

Beyond my work, I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver, and lifelong animal lover. I enjoy reading, riding my motorcycle, exercising, and spending time with my family.

In September of this year I was recognized by the Worldwide Women's Association for meaningful contributions in my field, professional excellence and perseverance. Recognition that further pushes me daily, knowing that my hard work speaks for itself.

At heart, I value family, hard work, compassion, and believing in myself. Whether I'm caring for loved ones or helping a business owner make sense of their books, I want to make a meaningful difference.
